Joomla Templates

If you search on Google for "Joomla Templates" you'll find lots of sites offering free templates, and many more with paid memberships.

My personal favourites are:

RocketTheme Template Club

Mambo and Joomla Template Club

Both these sites offer free templates, and also have a monthly membership club where you can pay to join and receive their template of the month (plus get access to all their other "Members Only" templates.

Joomla Modules

The Joomla Modules we use and recommend:

SEF Advance - Makes the URLs of your pages VERY Search Engine Friendly. Definitely recommend using this instead of the native Search Engine Friendly URLs option in Joomla. The only drawback of SEF Advance is that it require the Ioncube loader installed on your domain/server. Most hosts have this installed by default, but you will need to check before buying the module. If you're not sure, download the SEF Advance free trial first and test it on your domain.

Joomap - a very neat Joomla Sitemap module. Easily installed and configured, and supports the new Google Sitemaps XML structure - and it's free.

JoomlaCloner - A very useful component that makes backing up your joomla a "no-brainer". I can't recommend this component enough - it takes about 2 minutes to install and configre JoomaCloner, and then makes it so easy to back your site AND the entire contents of the mysql database. They provide a free trial and also have a demo area online.

JoomlaStart - Another neat tool from the JoomlaCloner guys. this makes it easy to install joomla on a new domain without having to upload all the installation files. Very useful if you don't have access to Fantastico.

Blogg-X - A handy little desktop application that runs on your PC. Allows you to post content to your joomla domains without having to login to each one.

Joomla Translation Pro - A Joomla module that will translate your pages into up to 9 different languages. It uses the Google translation engine. The translated page is displayed using your site template, so looks great.

Other Sources of Joomla Add-ons

Joomla Extensions - Straight from the horses mouth - lots of modules and components used and rated by the Joomla community.

Siteground - Some neat modules and free templates.
